Two initiatives took place in Brazil for the Fascination of Plants Day 2024 (FoPD). On May 18, the Instituto Nacional da Mata Atlântica (INMA) in Santa Teresa, Brazil, celebrated FoPD with engaging activities focused on plant diversity and its importance. Events included art workshops, a plant-hunting circuit, and exhibitions showcasing plant-related curiosities, all set in INMA’s stunning garden to emphasize the role of plants for humans and the planet. On May 28, the IFRS Campus Porto Alegre hosted events aimed at promoting awareness of the significance of plants and inspiring scientific curiosity. Activities included a flower and plant photo exhibition, a panel on in vitro cultivation techniques, sensory garden tours, and displays of Mbya-Guarani crafts made with plants.
