Fieldwork is a short video that introduces the work of artist Rob Kesseler in his quest to reveal plant material such as seeds and pollen at a microscopic level using high a powered electron microscope. The film starts with collection of samples in the field, then preparation for the microscope and concludes with a description of the colouration process he uses to transform the specimens into mesmerizing and intriguing images.
