The 5th International Fascination of Plants Day will be celebrated in Matera on 18 May 2019, on an event day that will present the event’s contents in the prestigious European Capital of Culture 2019. The event will be organized by the Institute for Sustainable Plant Protection of CNR and ALSIA Basilicata, together with other Institutions and Associations of the territory. Just drop in – the entrance is free – and visit plant scientists and experts at ex Ospedale San Rocco (the former San Rocco Hospital), in Via San Biagio in Matera. The programme includes meetings, scientific talks for the wider public (in Italian) and an artistic-cultural area, presented together to attract the attention of non-experts through the fertile union between Science and Culture. The Fascination of Plants Day will be a joyful celebration that will involve people of all ages, with particular attention to students, but it will also be open to many tourists and the curious passers by.
