An interactive experience exploring plant biodiversity and the hidden value of seeds that sustain our food systems 🌾

Organised within the framework of the Apulian Biodiversity Week, this event invites students and the public to discover why genetic diversity is essential for food security, climate resilience, and sustainable agriculture 🌍

At the heart of the event is the Mediterranean Germplasm Genebank—a “seed vault” preserving plant diversity from across the Mediterranean. Participants will learn how seeds are conserved not only as agricultural resources but also as valuable cultural and biological heritage 💚

Through hands-on activities and guided exploration, visitors will experience the science behind biodiversity conservation in a practical and engaging way.
