Formou ukážok a posterov prezentovaný život včiel a ich význam pre rastliny ako opeľovače a pre človeka ako príležitosť pre získanie medu a iných produktov.

The life of bees and their importance for plants as pollinators and for humans as an opportunity to obtain honey and other products were presented in the form of demonstrations and posters.

We will introduce you to the fascinating world of plants hrough short lectures and interactive demonstrations, supplemented by practical use of laboratory methods. We will focus on selected anatomical and physiological characteristics of plants (e.g. protein electrophoresis, evidence of stress), as well as their importance for humans in everyday life. In the outdoor area and greenhouse of KBG, there will be an opportunity to learn about medicinal, poisonous, ornamental and useful plants.

Priblížime Vám fascinujúci svet rastlín formou krátkych prednášok a interaktívnych ukážok doplnené o praktické využitie laboratórnych metód. Zameriame sa na vybrané  anatomicko-fyziologické charakteristiky rastlín (napr. elektroforéza bielkovín, dôkazy stresu) , ako aj na ich význam pre človeka v každodennom živote. Vo vonkajšom areáli a skleníku KBG bude príležitosť na poznávanie liečivých, jedovatých, okrasných aj úžitkových rastlín.

Botanický program bude súčasťou akcie Noc múzeí a galérií a ponúkne návštevníkom jedinečný pohľad do fascinujúceho sveta semien. Prostredníctvom prezentácie semennej zbierky sa zoznámia s rozmanitosťou tvarov, veľkostí a stratégií šírenia rastlín. Detailnejší pohľad umožní pozorovanie povrchu rôznych semien pod mikroskopom, kde vyniknú ich jemné štruktúry a prispôsobenia.

Súčasťou programu bude aj tvorivá dielňa, v ktorej si účastníci môžu vyrobiť vlastné semienkové bomby a odniesť si kúsok prírody domov. Interaktívnym prvkom bude hravá aktivita „Spoj semienko s rastlinkou“, ktorá preverí vedomosti aj postreh návštevníkov všetkých vekových kategórií. Program je určený pre rodiny s deťmi aj širokú verejnosť a spája poznávanie s kreativitou a zábavou.

The botanical program will be part of the Night of Museums and Galleries event and will offer visitors a unique insight into the fascinating world of seeds. Through the presentation of the seed collection, they will become familiar with the diversity of shapes, sizes and strategies for plant propagation. A more detailed view will allow for observation of the surface of various seeds under a microscope, where their fine structures and adaptations will stand out.

The program will also include a creative workshop, in which participants can make their own seed bombs and take a piece of nature home. An interactive element will be the playful activity “Match the seed with the plant”, which will test the knowledge and observation of visitors of all ages. The program is intended for families with children and the general public and combines learning with creativity and fun.

Komentovaná prehliadka pre širokú verejnosť s cieľom prezentovať 30 rokov pestovania rastlinných adaptogénov na ekofarme Odorica pri Levoči s následným spracovaním na BIOčaje a BIOtinktúry.

A guided tour for the general public with the aim of presenting 30 years of growing plant adaptogens on the Odorica ecofarm near Levoča with subsequent processing into BIO teas and BIO tinctures.

Pre účastníkov je pripravený program na obidvoch ústavoch SAV. Budete
môcť nazrieť do laboratórií, zistiť, ako sa pripravujú a realizujú experimenty
a dozvedieť sa viac o práci vedca, ktorý študuje fascinujúci svet procesov,
ktoré v rastlinách prebiehajú.
Podujatie je primárne určené pre menšie organizované skupiny alebo
individuálnych záujemcov. Vítaní sú všetci, ktorí sa chcú nechať fascinovať
svetom rastlín. Záujem prosíme nahlásiť organizátorom do 25.5.2026.

A program has been prepared for participants at both SAS institutes. You will be able to  see the laboratories, find out how experiments are prepared and carried out and learn more about the work of a scientist who studies the fascinating world of processes that take place in plants.

The event is primarily intended for smaller organized groups or individuals. Everyone who wants to be fascinated by the world of plants is welcome. Please register your interest with the organizers by 25.5.2026.

Dozviete sa rôzne zaujímavosti o spôsobe života rastlín, tipy ako ich pestovať, dozviete sa, prečo sú rastliny zaujímavé pre človeka a niečo o tom, aké výskumné projekty prebiehajú na našom pracovisku.
2. prehliadka priestorov Katedry fyziológie rastlín
(kultivačné komory, mikroskopy, laboratóriá)
3. minivýstava kaktusov, sukulentov a poradňa ako ich pestovať Podujatie je primárne určené pre žiakov a študentov základných a stredných škôl, no vítaní sú všetci, ktorí sa chcú nechať fascinovať svetom rastlín.

Program:

1. series of short interesting lectures on plant life – You will learn various interesting facts about the way plants live, tips on how to grow them, learn why plants are interesting to humans and something about what research projects are underway at our workplace.
2. tour of the Department of Plant Physiology – (cultivation chambers, microscopes, laboratories)
3. mini-exhibition of cacti, succulents and advice on how to grow them – The event is primarily intended for pupils and students of primary and secondary schools, but everyone who wants to be fascinated by the world of plants is welcome.
