V poradí už ôsmy medzinárodný “Deň fascinácie rastlinami” 2026 (DFR 2026) bude spustený vedcami z celého sveta pod záštitou European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO).
Cieľom tejto aktivity je fascinovať rastlinami čo najviac ľudí na celom svete a vzbudiť v nich záujem o rastlinné vedy, poľnohospodárstvo a trvalo udržateľnú produkciu výživných potravín, ako aj pre záhradníctvo, lesníctvo a produkciu rastlinných nepotravinových produktov ako papier, drevo, chemikálie, energie a liečivá. Úloha rastlín v ochrane životného prostredia je tiež kľúčovým posolstvom Dňa fascinácie rastlinami.

Enviropátračka is an eco-educational competition for primary school students, in which competitors solve seven thematic tasks. The tasks are prepared in three difficulty categories.
Enviropátračka je ekovýchovná súťaž určená pre žiakov základných škôl, v ktorej súťažiaci riešia sedem tematických úloh. Zadania úloh sú pripravené v troch kategóriách náročnosti.
Deň otvorených dverí pre všetky vekové skupiny. Prehliadka poľných pokusov, jednoduché experimenty, diskusie o rastlinách, ktoré sa pestujú na poliach a sú pre nás primárne potravinové suroviny.
Open day for all age groups. Tour of field trials, simple experiments, discussions about plants that are grown in the fields and are our primary food raw materials.
A demonstration of research by PhD students from the Department of Plant Biotechnology at the university will be prepared. In vitro plants, nutritionally interesting plant metabolites, molecular biology as a tool for studying plant viruses. In simple experiments, guests will learn more about biotechnology research and the fascinating world of plants.
Pripravená bude ukážka výskumu PhD študentov odboru biotechnológie rastlín na univerzite. In vitro rastliny, nutrične zaujímavé metabolity rastlín, molekulárna biológia ako nástroj na štúdium rastlinných vírusov. V jednoduchých pokusoch sa hostia dozvedia viac a biotechnologickom výskume a fascinujúcom svete rastlín.
Botanický program bude súčasťou akcie Noc múzeí a galérií a ponúkne návštevníkom jedinečný pohľad do fascinujúceho sveta semien. Prostredníctvom prezentácie semennej zbierky sa zoznámia s rozmanitosťou tvarov, veľkostí a stratégií šírenia rastlín. Detailnejší pohľad umožní pozorovanie povrchu rôznych semien pod mikroskopom, kde vyniknú ich jemné štruktúry a prispôsobenia.
Súčasťou programu bude aj tvorivá dielňa, v ktorej si účastníci môžu vyrobiť vlastné semienkové bomby a odniesť si kúsok prírody domov. Interaktívnym prvkom bude hravá aktivita „Spoj semienko s rastlinkou“, ktorá preverí vedomosti aj postreh návštevníkov všetkých vekových kategórií. Program je určený pre rodiny s deťmi aj širokú verejnosť a spája poznávanie s kreativitou a zábavou.
The botanical program will be part of the Night of Museums and Galleries event and will offer visitors a unique insight into the fascinating world of seeds. Through the presentation of the seed collection, they will become familiar with the diversity of shapes, sizes and strategies for plant propagation. A more detailed view will allow for observation of the surface of various seeds under a microscope, where their fine structures and adaptations will stand out.
The program will also include a creative workshop, in which participants can make their own seed bombs and take a piece of nature home. An interactive element will be the playful activity “Match the seed with the plant”, which will test the knowledge and observation of visitors of all ages. The program is intended for families with children and the general public and combines learning with creativity and fun.
Akcia sa uskutoční vo vnútri. Akcia bude určená pre študentov základných a stredných škôl, ale aj širokej verejnosti, ktorým na našom pracovisku predstavíme rôzne mikroskopické, molekulárne i biochemické metódy výskumu rastlín, ako sú napríklad druhy rodu láskavec, arábkovka, ľan či mäsožravky. Na pripravených stanovištiach v rámci laboratórií si účastníci budú môcť vyskúšať prácu vedcov, odhaliť tajomstvá komunikácie rastlín a ich odpovede na rôzne stimuly, diskutovať s odborníkmi na rôzne témy a riešiť niekoľko logických úloh.
The event will be held indoors and is intended for elementary and secondary school students, as well as the general public. Participants will be introduced to various microscopic, molecular, and biochemical methods of plant research, including species such as amaranth, arabidopsis, flax, and carnivorous plants studied at our institute. At designated stations within the laboratories, attendees can experience scientists’ work, uncover the secrets of plant communication and their responses to different stimuli, engage in discussions with experts on various topics, and solve several logical tasks.
Akce bude určena pro studenty základních a středních škol, ale i široké veřejnosti, kterým na našem pracovišti představíme různé mikroskopické, molekulární i biochemické metody výzkumu rostlin, jako jsou například druhy rodu laskavec, arabkovka, len či masožravky. Na připravených stanovištích v rámci laboratořích si účastníci budou moci vyzkoušet práci vědce, odhalit tajemství komunikace rostlin a jejich odezvy na různé stimuly, diskutovat s odborníky na různé témata i řešit několik logických úloh.
The event is intended for elementary and high school students, as well as the general public, to whom we will introduce various microscopic, molecular, and biochemical methods of plant research at our facility, focusing on species such as amaranth, Arabidopsis, flax, and carnivorous plants. At designated stations within the laboratories, participants will have the opportunity to try their hand at scientific work, uncover the secrets of plant communication and their responses to various stimuli, discuss various topics with experts, and solve several logic puzzles.
