Međunarodna manifestacija „Dan fascinacije biljkama” 2026 održaće se po osmi put širom sveta pod okriljem Evropske organizacije za biljne nauke (EPSO).
Cilj manifestacije je da naučnici zajedno sa ljubiteljima prirode pokažu da je nauka o biljkama izuzetno važna za poljoprivredu, hortikulturu, šumarstvo i farmaciju. Jedna od glavnih poruka ove manifestacije je skretanje pažnje javnosti na značajnu ulogu biljaka u očuvanju životne sredine.

Interaktivna tura kroz izložbu sa olfaktornom igrom i pričama iz sveta biljaka u interpretaciji dr Mirjane Marčetić, dr Jelene Arsenijević i dr Danila Stojanovića.
Ekskluzivna izložba „Nota – priča o mirisu“,
nastala u saradnji Muzeja nauke i tehnike i Muzeja za istoriju farmacije Farmaceutskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Beogradu, koju potpisuje autorski tim viših kustosa, Jelena Manojlović (Muzej za istoriju farmacije), Zoran Lević i Ivan Stanić (Muzej nauke i tehnike), obrađuje složeni fenomen mirisa sa aspekta nauke, tehnologije, biologije, psihologije, istorije, antropologije, etnologije, lingvistike, estetike i kulture. Izložbena postavka predstavlja ovaj fenomen preko najznačajnijih biljaka i životinja koje se koriste u proizvodnji mirisa, aparatura za proizvodnju, istorijskih artefakata – od rimskih bočica sa arheološkog lokaliteta Viminacijum do bočica za mirise i parfeme iz 19 i 20. veka, eksponata i priča o svetskim, ali i proizvođačima sa naših prostora iz 19. i 20. veka. Osim čula vida i čula sluha, izložba okupira i čulo mirisa. Na 15 lokacija postavljeni su stakleni baloni čijim se otvaranjem mogu otkriti i osetiti različite mirisne esencije.
“Nota – A Story about Scent”
is an exclusive exhibition created through a collaboration between the Museum of Science and Technology and the Museum of the History of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade. It is authored by a team of senior curators—Jelena Manojlović, Zoran Lević, and Ivan Stanić. The exhibition explores the rich and complex world of scent from multiple perspectives, including science, technology, biology, psychology, history, anthropology, linguistics, aesthetics, and culture. Visitors are guided through the story of scent via key plants and animals used in fragrance production, specialised equipment, and a wide range of historical artefacts—from Roman vessels discovered at the Viminacium archaeological site to perfume bottles from the 19th and 20th centuries. The exhibition also highlights both renowned global producers and notable creators from the region. Engaging more than just sight and hearing, the exhibition invites visitors to experience scent directly. At 15 points throughout the space, glass flasks can be opened to reveal and explore different fragrance essences.
Biljke imaju ogroman značaj za sva živa bića na Zemlji. One proizvode kiseonik, obezbeđuju nam hranu i čine osnovu života na našoj planeti. Upravo zato je važno brinuti o njima, čuvati ih, negovati i gajiti. Da li ste se ikada zapitali na koji još način možemo gajiti biljke, a da to nije u zemlji? Kako iz jednog sitnog semena ili malog dela biljnog tkiva, u potpuno sterilnim uslovima, mogu nastati brojne zdrave i snažne biljke koje kasnije možemo zasaditi? Na našoj postavci posvećenoj kulturi biljaka in vitro, posetioci će imati priliku da zavire u fascinantan svet gajenja biljaka u sterilnim, laboratorijskim uslovima i otkriju kako nauka pomaže u proučavanju, očuvanju i razmnožavanju biljaka – doprinoseći tako očuvanju biodiverziteta.
Plants play a vital role on Earth. They produce oxygen, provide us with food, and make life possible on our planet. That is why it is so important to take care of them, protect them, and help them grow. Have you ever wondered in what other ways plants can be grown besides in soil? How can a tiny seed, or even a small piece of plant tissue, develop into numerous healthy and strong plants under completely sterile conditions, which can later be planted in nature? At our exhibition dedicated to in vitro plant culture, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of growing plants in sterile laboratory conditions and discover how science helps study, conserve, and propagate plants, contributing to the preservation of biodiversity.

Da li ste se ikada zapitali kako biljke „funkcionišu iznutra“? Kako kroz njihove stabljike putuju voda i hranljive materije, ili na koji način listovi proizvode hranu koristeći sunčevu svetlost? Na našoj postavci posvećenoj anatomiji biljaka, posetioci će imati priliku da zavire u skriveni svet biljnog tela i otkriju složenu građu njihovih tkiva i organa. Kroz zanimljive prikaze i objašnjenja, upoznaćete se sa time kako su biljke prilagođene životu u različitim uslovima, kako rastu i razvijaju se, kao i koliko je njihova unutrašnja organizacija važna za opstanak na Zemlji. Nauka o anatomiji biljaka pomaže nam da bolje razumemo prirodu, ali i da je očuvamo za buduće generacije.
Have you ever wondered how plants function on the inside? How do water and nutrients travel through their stems, or how do leaves produce food using sunlight? At our exhibition dedicated to plant anatomy, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the hidden world within plant bodies and discover the complex structure of their tissues and organs. Through engaging displays and explanations, you will learn how plants adapt to life in different environments, how they grow and develop, and how important their internal organization is for survival on Earth. The science of plant anatomy helps us better understand nature and plays a key role in preserving it for future generations.

Na prvi pogled, biljke mogu delovati pasivno. Međutim, kod nekih vrsta evolucija je „osmislila“ fascinantno rešenje – lov na insekte i druge sitne životinje kao alternativni način dolaska do neophodnih nutrijenata u staništima sa siromašnim supstratima. Biljke mesožderke razvile su različite tipove specijalizovanih zamki: mehaničke klopke koje se brzo zatvaraju, lepljive zamke koje zadržavaju plen, vrčolike zamke u koje plen upada, vakuumske zamke koje ga usisavaju, zamke nalik kleštima jastoga koje dozvoljavaju kretanje plena isključivo u jednom smeru. Ove biljke predstavljaju fascinantne primere evolutivnih adaptacija u kojima su obični listovi tokom vremena transformisani u složene strukture za hvatanje plena. Posetite postavku i upoznajte vrste koje pokazuju da je biljni svet mnogo aktivniji i domišljatiji nego što na prvi pogled izgleda.
At first glance, plants may appear passive. However, in some species evolution has “devised” a fascinating solution – capturing insects and other small animals as an alternative way of obtaining essential nutrients in habitats with nutrient-poor substrates. Carnivorous plants have evolved several types of specialized traps: mechanical snap traps that close rapidly, sticky traps that retain prey, pitcher traps into which prey falls, vacuum traps that suck prey in, and lobster-pot traps that guide prey inward but prevent escape. These plants represent fascinating examples of evolutionary adaptation, in which ordinary leaves have, over time, been transformed into complex structures for capturing prey. Visit the exhibition and discover species that show the plant world is far more active and ingenious than it might seem at first glance.

Biljke, prisutne u gotovo svakom kutku planete, čine neverovatno raznovrstan svet, pun zanimljivih detalja koje često ne primećujemo. Iako nas okružuju na svakom koraku, mnoge njihove osobine ostaju neprimećene, a ponekad se njihov pravi izgled krije upravo u sitnim strukturama skrivenim od naših očiju. Da li ste se ikada zapitali kako zapravo izgledaju seme, list ili površina biljke kada ih posmatramo pod velikim uvećanjem? Kakve se šare, oblici i strukture kriju na njihovoj površini? Na našoj postavci posvećenoj mikrostrukturama biljaka, posetioci će imati priliku da, možda po prvi put, zavire u ovaj fascinantan, intrigantan i gotovo nevidljivi svet uz pomoć fotografija skenirajuće elektronske mikroskopije (SEM). Kroz prikaze plodova, semena, operkuluma, listova, trihoma i drugih biljnih delova, otkrićemo neverovatne detalje koji ne samo da podsećaju na umetnička dela, već imaju važnu ulogu u životu biljaka – od zaštite, preko razmnožavanja, do prilagođavanja uslovima sredine.
Plants, present in almost every corner of the planet, create an incredibly diverse world full of fascinating details that we often overlook. Although they surround us everywhere, many of their features remain unnoticed, and sometimes their true appearance is hidden in tiny structures invisible to the naked eye. Have you ever wondered what a seed, a leaf, or the surface of a plant really looks like under high magnification? What patterns, shapes, and structures are hidden on their surfaces? At our exhibit dedicated to plant microstructures, visitors will have the chance, perhaps for the first time, to peek into this fascinating, intriguing, and almost invisible world through images captured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Through displays of fruits, seeds, opercula, leaves, trichomes, and other plant parts, we will reveal astonishing details that not only resemble works of art but also play an important role in the life of plants – from protection, through reproduction, to adaptation to environmental conditions.

Baš tamo, na ulici u gradu Nišu, bio je Gospodin Maslačak. On nije bio samo korov, zapravo bio je arhitektonsko čudo. Uspeo je da nađe svoje mesto u pukotini na trotoaru, cvetajući prkosnim neonsko-žutim intenzitetom. Dok je grad trošio milione na “infrastrukturu” on je efikasno i besplatno demontirao trotoar. To je bio prvi znak pravih stanovnika naselja: onih koji nisu plaćali kiriju. Gospodin Maslačak ima još mnogo prijatelja, koji jedva čekaju da ispričaju svoju priču!
Right there, on the street of the “City of Niš“ was a Mr. Dandelion. He wasn’t just a weed, but in fact an architectural marvel. He had managed to place himself into a hairline fracture in the pavement, blooming with a defiant, neon-yellow intensity. While the city spent millions on “infrastructure,” he was effectively dismantling the sidewalk for free. It was the first sign of the neighborhood’s true residents: the ones who didn’t pay rent. Mr. Dandelion has many more friends, who can’t wait to tell their story!
