O sétimo “Dia Mundial do Fascínio das Plantas” 2024 (FoPD 2024) está a ser lançado por cientistas de plantas de todo o mundo sob a égide da European Plant Science Organisation (EPSO).
Pretende-se com esta iniciativa fazer com que o maior número possível de pessoas em todo o mundo desperte para o fascínio das plantas e para a importância do seu estudo na melhoria da agricultura e produção sustentável de alimentos, bem como para a horticultura, silvicultura e produção de bens não-alimentares, como papel, madeira, químicos, fármacos e energia. O papel determinante das plantas na conservação do meio ambiente será igualmente objeto de destaque.
Todos são bem vindos a participar desta iniciativa!
This Drawing Exhibition about White crowberry plant presents a group of drawings made by Students who participated in field trips to Cape St Vicent, during June’2024, within the educational Emc2 project – ‘Exploring White Crowberry Coastal Habitats’. This ongoing project aims to raise awareness about white crowberry – Corema album (L.) D. Don (Ericaceae Family)- a threatened and of high conservation value plant species prone to extirpation in some Iberian Peninsula Atlantic coastal areas.
The Emc2 project is funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT, Portugal), through the strategic projects UIDB/04292/2020 and UIDP/04292/2020 granted to MARE – Center for Marine and Environmental Sciences, and the project LA/P/0069/2020 granted to the Associate Laboratory ARNET – Aquatic Research Network.

O Fluviário de Mora promove o evento “Chá Fascinante” no dia 18 de Maio de 2024, em comemoração do Dia do Fascínio das Plantas e Dia Internacional dos Museus, com workshop por Anabela Marques “Chá Fascinante”, degustação de chá, infusões e águas aromatizadas com o apoio do restaurante “O Fluviário”, acompanhada pela música da violoncelista Raquel Pernas.
Em honra da comemoração desta efeméride solicitamos aos participantes o seguinte dress code: no dia do evento usarem uma peça de vestuário em tons de verde.
O evento “Chá Fascinante” terá início pelas 15H00 do dia 18 de Maio de 2024, com a duração aproximada de 2 horas. O Evento requer inscrição prévia para geral@fluviariomora.pt até ao dia 15 de Maio, com aquisição do bilhete de entrada no Fluviário de Mora que pode ser efetuada presencialmente ou online. O evento será fotografado, pelo que existirá formulário de consentimento de utilização de registos fotográficos.
A receção dos participantes decorrerá no auditório do Fluviário de Mora, onde decorrerá o workshop “Chá Fascinante”, onde não faltarão diversas informações sobre várias espécies de flora silvestre que pode ser encontrada no Parque Ecológico do Gameiro, principalmente na zona ribeirinha, dinâmicas com plantas e, degustação de chá, infusões e águas aromatizadas pelo restaurante “O Fluviário” e atuação da violoncelista Raquel Pernas. Serão entregues certificados de participação neste evento, findo o mesmo.

Fluviário de Mora promotes the “Fascinating Tea” event on May 18th, 2024, in celebration of Plant Fascination Day and International Museum Day, with the workshop “Fascinating Tea” by Anabela Marques, tasting of tea, infusions and flavored waters with the support of the restaurant “O Fluviário”, accompanied by the music of cellist Raquel Pernas.
To honor this celebration, we ask participants to adhere to the following dress code: on the day of the event, wear a piece of clothing in shades of green.
The “Fascinating Tea” event will start at 3pm on May 18th, 2024, lasting approximately 2 hours. The participation in the event requires prior registration to geral@fluviariomora.pt until the 15th of May, with the purchase of an entry ticket to the Fluviário de Mora, which can be done in person or online. The event will be photographed, so there will be a consent form for the use of photographic records.
The reception for participants will take place in the auditorium of Fluviário de Mora, where the “Fascinating Tea” workshop will take place, where there will be plenty of information on various species of native wild flora that can be found in the Parque Ecológico do Gameiro (Gameiro Ecological Park), mainly in the riverside area, dynamics with plants and, tasting of tea, infusions and flavored waters at the “O Fluviário” restaurant and performance by cellist Raquel Pernas. Certificates of participation in this event will be given at the end of the event.
On May 18th, ITQB NOVA is going to Mercado Municipal de Oeiras to celebrate the International Fascination of Plants Day.
The event, open to the public, will include scientific stands, story time for children and youngsters and an Origami atelier in partnership with the GATAfunho bookstore, guided tours of the Oeiras Historical Centre to recognize plants, a clay workshop with Livraria-Galeria Municipal Verney, as well as a special menu at the “Chá da Barra” restaurant. There will also be a talk about the invisibility of plants and a participatory visit and pick-nick to the “Oeiras Experimenta” field.

No dia 18 de maio, o ITQB NOVA vai ao Mercado Municipal de Oeiras para celebrar o Dia Internacional do Fascínio das Plantas.
O evento, aberto ao público, incluirá bancas científicas, hora do conto para crianças e jovens e oficina de Origami em parceria com a livraria GATAfunho, visitas guiadas ao Centro Histórico de Oeiras para o reconhecimento de plantas, workshop de modelação com a Livraria-Galeria Municipal Verney, além de um menu especial no restaurante “Chá da Barra”. Estão também programadas conversas com investigadores sobre a Invisibilidade das Plantas e uma visita participativa com piquenique ao terreno “Oeiras Experimenta”.
