Zbliża się szósta edycja międzynarodowej akcji ‘Fascynujący Dzień Roślin’ 2026 (FoPD 2026), która będzie odbywać się na całym świecie pod auspicjami Europejskiej Organizacji Nauk o Roślinach (European Plant Science Organisation – EPSO).
Celem tej akcji jest zaprezentowanie pracy osób zafascynowanych światem roślin, a także przekazanie przesłania, że wiedza o roślinach jest niezmiernie ważna dla rozwoju rolnictwa, ogrodnictwa i leśnictwa oraz zrównoważonego wytwarzania żywności. Znajomość świata roślin ma równie ważne znaczenie w produkcji wszelkich produktów pochodzenia roślinnego, takich jak papier, drewno, odczynniki chemiczne, energia, czy farmaceutyki. Bardzo ważnym przesłaniem akcji jest również wskazanie znaczenia roślin dla zachowania środowiska. Zapraszamy wszystkich do przyłączenia się do tej inicjatywy!

A stall where participants can try their hand at matching plant names to their leaves and fruits.
We will present a variety of fruits – including lesser-known ones – which you will be able to experience with all your senses: touch them, smell them…
Why do some plants hunt animals? What does the menu of a carnivorous plant look like? Can we encounter them during a walk, and if so, where? This presentation and workshop session will give you an up-close look at this extraordinary group of plants, including species with intriguing names like sundew, butterwort, Venus flytrap, and pitcher plant. We will peek inside the traps of carnivorous plants, touch them, and even smell them — all to find out how they lure, catch, and digest their prey, and, above all, who is eating whom?!…
