Plants are fascinating, don't you think? There are many stories to tell about plants and what they can do. And we tell these stories during the international Fascination of Plants Day. That is why we place a greenhouse in the middle of The Hague with beautiful and important stories about the importance of plants for society. We also organize a number of activities in the greenhouse, including for politicians, policy makers and teachers. Of course we don't forget the general public. They are very welcome on Saturday to visit the greenhouse and become fascinated about plants!
Biology teachers are invited to follow a masterclass about salt tolerance and salty agriculture. In this way the teachers stay up to date with the latest developments in the sector. They also receive tips and trics on how to make this information practical in the classroom.
High school students and their teachers are invited to visit the greenhouse and experience, feel, hear, investigate and see how fascinating and important plants are.
Four PhD students compete against each other in the Science Battle: who has the best story about his or her plant research? At which presentation will a world open for you? Do you understand what it is about? Do you feel the passion? Can you retell it?
