中国植物生理与植物分子生物学学会作为中国地区的活动发起和协调方，将在全国范围内组织国际植物日科普活动，引导民众关注和思考植物在自然环境和生态系统中发挥的重要作用，增强人们关注植物、保护植物的观念和意识。

Under the motto “Love plants, healthy life” a series of activities will be carried out to unveil the secrets of plants and to motivate the primary school students attending the event the love for plants.
It is designed to popularize plant knowledge to the public through plant-painting-making, plant knowledge Q&A, plant science lectures, plant science exhibitions, Visit the Museum of Biological Diversity, and popular science video broadcast, etc., thus to call on people to love plants and pay attention to the relationship between plant science and human health.
It is designed to trigger students’ interest in plant science research through vivid and interesting plant knowledge and expert academic reports. Based on plant science popularization exhibition, plant specimen exhibition, plant science popularization video, small plant specimen hands-on production and other activities, it will lead primary and middle school students to explore the mysterious plant world and appreciate the magic of nature.
Jiangsu Society for Plant Biology will hold an activity called “Featured Rice and Quality Life” in the Open Day for popular science. Through popular science lectures and exhibitions, a visit to germplasm resources bank, and interactive experience etc., the public will have a deep understanding of rice and improve their awareness of saving food.
Hunan Society for Plant Biology, HNSPB will hold popular science lectures on the Safety and Evaluation of GMO and the Charm and Mystery of Plants, as well as Open Day activities for scientific laboratories, so that the public can feel the charm of plants and plant science more deeply.
People will be invited to visit the Turpan Desert Botanical Garden of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences, to experience the harsh desert environment and the severe tests faced by desert plant growth, understand the survival wisdom of desert plants, and realize the difficulty of their growth. Much effort will be made to change their cognition, generate admiration and gratitude for desert plants in them, thus triggering their desire to protect the environment and desert plants.
Shanghai Normal University will lead the public to visit the Chinese rose garden, teach them how to make the Chinese rose dew, and produce dried flowers, embossing flowers and illustration, etc. There will also be plant popular science exhibitions, plant popular science lectures and GMO debate competitions.
Tianjin Society for Plant Biology will lead students to Nankai University and the top basic botanical research laboratory. This journey will enable you to get close to the colorful plants of Nankai University, observe the different growth states of plants, listen to professors and doctors from Nankai University explain the microscopic world of plants, and experience the wonderful plant world and the extraction and purification of DNA molecules.
Tianjin Society for Plant Biology will lead students to Nankai University and the top basic botanical research laboratory. This journey will enable you to get close to the colorful plants of Nankai University, observe the different growth states of plants, listen to professors and doctors from Nankai University explain the microscopic world of plants, and experience the wonderful plant world and the extraction and purification of DNA molecules.
Shandong Agricultural University will hold the Carnival for popularization of plant on the International Plant Day 2021. The activity will be open to general major and medium elementary students which consists of four parts: a tour of the plant kingdom guided by the plant experts, the plant-specimens-making competition, the plant photography competition, and the plant cognition competition. With an attempt to combine the plant knowledge with interesting activities, it helps you taste the mystery of the plant world.
